Carolyn recently established the Phoenix law firm Takhone LawCenter, PLC. She is a member of the Delaware Tribe of Indians (Lenape) and is a descendant of the Lakota and Arikara tribes. Carolyn has devoted her legal career to serving the needs of tribal communities. Prior to opening Takhone Law Center, Carolyn served as the Director of Lenape Legal Aid, Program Attorney for the National Tribal Judicial Center at the National Judicial College and the Attorney Adviser for the U.S. Department of Interior, Office of Hearings and Appeals, Phoenix Field Office. Carolyn is a graduate of Cornell College and earned her law degree from the University of Arizona, James E. Rogers College of Law.
